I have wanted to share this poem with all of you for a long time.
I think it is the most wonderful poem I have ever found on the internet and I have reread it for many times. It has a certain calming aura and brings me back all the smells and winters from the past. Fresh bread and cold, wet nights.
I am not sure who the author is, even though I have tried to trace him/her. The poem was found at the link that I shared above.
Whoever wrote the poem, I am sending him/her all the best wishes and blessings and witchy whisperings.
Thank you for giving me so much comfort in so many winters of my life.
autumn by l.k.s.
the leaves wither
and waltz with the wind
our bones shiver
and clatter
as we search for a fire
to warm our frozen fingers
and souls
but cold as it may be
the bone-chiling breeze
and withering leaves
bring us back to warmth
we once knew
it is in darker days
I find my way back home
